NOMINATE YOUR GOOD NEIGHBOR
The Downingtown Good Neighbor Day Committee seeks entrants for its annual Jack Woodward Memorial Award. The award is presented as part of the Borough's Annual Independence Day celebration at Kerr Park, in memory of the late Jack Woodward, who was the Borough's director of streets and parks.
Nominees would be a Downingtown School District resident who has not received a lot of publicity for his or her volunteer efforts. Nominees do not have to be a member of a service club, a church group, or other types of non-profit organizations.
Entries should be in the form of an essay of 200 words or less, describing the nominees' good deeds. Nomination deadline is June 1st.
